Next session of Yorkshire Lawyer Leadership Group
The follow-on programme for the YLLG will be run over six meetings to be held near Leeds from 9.00am-12.00 noon and dates are as follows:

The format will be facilitated peer group discussion on issues decided by the members. We shall also have short presentations from external speakers at three of the meetings covering relevant topics; initial thoughts on the topics include personal branding, teamwork, empowering and delegating, effective meetings, leading under pressure.
We would like to offer you the opportunity to attend the first session for free.
If you find the session of value and confirm attendance on the programme the sessions cost £100 per meeting (invoiced at £500 in advance).

“I have found our sessions enormously useful. Having Lisa and Denis acting as facilitators worked extremely well as they are skilled at making sure that discussions are focussed. At the same time they bring their skills in marketing and finance to add an extra dimension to the issues under discussion. I’m not sure what I’ve enjoyed more; getting to know colleagues from other firms, feeling that the worries that I have are shared with and understood by others, debating ‘hot topics’ like remuneration in a setting that allows you to ask questions that you might feel stupid for asking in another context, sharing in very practical ways strategies that have worked, as well as those which have not..
Writing this makes me realise just how valuable these sessions have been. The role of managing partner can be isolating and stressful; it’s easy to lose a sense of perspective and to feel crisis driven.
The fact that the format of the sessions was agreed in advance by those of us who attended, really did ensure that we talked about all the issues that we wanted to, and an email summary from Denis afterwards ensured that key points were documented.
